GWF Teachers Guide...Education for Everyone

Objectives:

  • To provide lesson plans that are culturally unbiased and that require minimal resources, so teachers of any country, working on any budget, can produce useful lesson plans whenever necessary.
  • To create a global learning community by providing lessons and opportunities where different cultures can learn about each other and ultimately with each other. GWF strongly believes that learning the commonalities and differences among all of us is an essential life skill.
  • To provide service learning opportunities for classrooms. Combining education with active volunteering is a great way to build good character and teach about social awareness.

Teachers Guide Resources

Lesson Plans (General) - Learning for everyone. Hundreds of culturally unbiased lesson plans with minimal resources needed. Perfect for any teacher in any classroom around the world.

Multicultural Learning - Learn about each other. Projects, activities, lesson plans, topic ideas to teach your class about different cultures.

Reciprocal Learning - Learn with each other. With this GWF sponsored reciprocal learning program American and Ghanaian students will learn with each other and from each other. Possible topics include, perspective studies, the West African Slave Trade, and cultural comparisons.

Service Learning - Learn to help each other. Teach about Ghana, then teach about the personal rewards of volunteering. Click here to learn about service learning opportunities for your classroom.
